A condominium in Hamden. It was a great feeling to be a new owner. In 2011, I called Lauren because my dad had turned ill and I needed to sell my condo or at least I thought I needed to sell. Lauren suggested that I rent the unit. Suddenly, I was a landlord, thanks to Lauren. Lauren found me the best tenant ever. The tenant stayed for 12 years and I never had a problem with the tenant. Now here I am again in 2023 calling Lauren to sell the condominium. She is great, fantastic! Lauren had my condo sold, under contract and closed in a about 1 month. 14 years ago, I used Marc as my seller's agent. His advice on pricing and negotiating was absolutely on-target. In a failing market, he helped me sell my townhouse in two months. So there was no doubt in my mind, when I decided to move back to Connecticut, about who I wanted to be my buyer's agent. I spoke with Marc before traveling to the state, telling him what I was looking for and what I could afford to spend. The market for that is basically non-existent in this seller's market of 2022, but between us we found several possibilities. He advised me against two of them for reasons that made excellent sense but that I might not have realized on my own. And when we looked at one that would work, he also guided me in the appropriate amount to bid and how to respond to the sellers. Sale made :) But Marc didn't rest on those laurels; he made sure I had a mortgage broker, an inspector, a closing attorney-- none of which I was in a position to find on my own, as I was living in Virginia. He repeatedly made contact with the sellers' agent because I had questions that needed answering. I knew I could *always* ask Marc for help. And on the day of the final walk-through, Marc had a family emergency, but Lauren stepped right in and came with me. And when we discovered several major problems, Lauren made sure the closing attorney knew, including taking and sending photos of the problems. I felt, again, safe and secure because my needs were being taken care of. I wholeheartedly recommend the Seigel Team for all your real estate needs. They put *you* first, ahead of any other considerations. They are available when you need them. And, honestly, they're also a lot of fun to be around :)

This was my first time buying a home and he has really helped me and my kids throughout the buying process. I was extremely grateful to him for his incite on the homes I looked. A-plus personality, gift of gab, and likable off the bat. He has a strong knowledge of the markets he works in and is willing to go the extra mile for you. He actually went to inspect a dark cramped crawl space for me since the inspection had already taken place and I was concerned that water might have gotten into the basement of our prospective home after a massive storm that hit literally days after the inspection was completed. He knew I was gonna have to drive an hour just to get that peace of mind, so without any obligation to do so at all, he went, disregarded the ol’ slacks, got on his fours and crawled through the entire crawl space taking pictures to send to confirm to me that all was well. I’ve never had a broker go to the length for me before and I’ve done a good deal of business with brokers in the past. He had the knowledge to answer almost all of my questions, the wisdom to not answer the ones he didn’t know the answers to, and the candor to follow-up on any of the very few items which required a closer look. He went above and beyond which created trust right away. This, I believe, is the most important element of the broker-buyer relationship.
